drawings in studio with pre-existing paint patch

– contrast of markmaking/colour/shape/ etc. repositions drawing visually/materially/as an outcome of process.

– colour: green of drawing & brown/beige of paint suggests natural landscape? so paint functions to extend the drawing, but in entirely different terms…? maybe conclusion would be sort of an extension of cubism?

– how they relate to each other: through existence as drawing/painting (traditional forms of art)? but there is a gap between them in visual & material language that can’t really be resolved?

– draws the drawing into an entirely different relationship with space/surroundings (effectively permeates/redraws its boundaries as an (intentional?) object)
